- Brady Harrison (Dallas, TX)Our Goal
Creating Musicians
Most guitar instructional sites keep their students focused on the art of regurgitation. Sounds gross but what we mean by that is that most people teaching guitar on the web or elsewhere come up with solos and licks and show you how to play them. While this isn't entirely wrong or bad, the students usually just collect a bunch of other people's licks in their repertoire and then rarely understand what it is that makes them sound cool.
Our goal here at guitarvudu.com is two fold:
To build your technical skills on the guitar AND to give you a solid foundation of musical knowledge. This means that you will find a lot of lessons here that simply teach you awesome sounding licks, riffs, and solos. However, you will also learn and study the musical building blocks that make up those tasty guitar parts. Ultimately we want you to have the musical understanding and the technical skills to play whatever you want in the style of your choice.
Guitar Styles
Something for everyone.
Because every student has access to the question box feature to make requests from our instructors, you will learn exactly what you want to learn. But here are some very common styles found in the classroom:
- Rock
- Metal
- Shred
- Blues
- Jazz Blues
- Country
- Funk
- Jazz
- Gypsy Jazz
- Acoustic
- Finger Style
- Ragtime
- Blue Grass
- Guitar Composition
- Classical Styles

Not at all! With your subscription here at guitarvudu.com you have access to ALL of our lessons 24/7.Is there a limit to how many requests I can make per month?
Nope. We love getting requests from our students. They are what help us know how to help you best.
After submitting a request, how long is it before I will receive a reply?
It depends. If your question requires a simple answer, then we will usually get back to you with a written response within a day. If we decide that your question or request requires a personalized video response, you'll need to allow time for us to structure the material, film and edit it, and upload it to the site. We can usually do this within a few days, but will be no longer than 1 week.
How often are new lessons added to the site?
We are literally working on filming and editing and uploading every day. You will constantly see new material added. Not only are we thinking of new ideas for lessons, many times the questions and requests students make end up as lessons for everyone.
Once I join is it easy to unsubscribe?
Yes. It's as easy as a click of a button. It is not our intent to trick our customers into staying with us if they don't feel like this is their best option. However, we are fully confident that these are the best guitar lessons found on the internet.

Newbies
Starting You Out Right
Our Newbs here at guitarvudu.com start at the guitar fundamentals section, which we designed to be capable of teaching guitar to even aliens coming to earth who have never seen a guitar before in their little extra-terrestrial lives! So you should have no problem picking it up. Troy, who is the guy that talks a lot in the video on the home page, will be your main instructor. He will walk you through those techniques that will build finger strength and will prepare you to start learning some of your favorite tunes! Our goal is to minimize all of the frustrations that come with starting to learn the guitar, so we want you to use the question box feature to ask questions, request more material, and voice any frustrations you may be having as you start to play.
Beginners
Building You Up
We recommend that you breeze through the guitar fundamentals section just to make sure that you are familiar with the techniques taught there. We then will have you tackle our "intros" sections. With you in mind, we have created our Intro to Rock, Intro to Acoustic, Intro to Blues, and Intro to Music Theory curriculums. All of these sections will give you a solid foundation in playing the different techniques associated with different guitar styles. Mastering the material in these sections will prepare you to play at an intermediate level!
Intermediate & Advanced
You Request it! We Teach it!
We here at guitarvudu.com are very excited about our intermediate and advanced members. With you guys and girls in mind we have created the genre studies section of our site. So from Jazz and Bluegrass to Rock and Metal we are trying to present to you in the most creative ways the advanced concepts associated with these styles. It is not only our goal to boost your technical level of playing, but also ensure your understanding of the theory of what is being played. The lessons fit into two categories. The concept category introduces a principle or technique and will walk you through mastering it in a video series. The other category is "Play" where you will be learning original rhythm and solo pieces created by our instructors. We are constantly adding new material to these sections focusing on sharing all the tips and tricks that we have learned along the way. However, we rely heavily upon the goals you have and the material you request. Communicate what you want to learn through the question box feature and we will custom design lessons for you!

The Question Box Feature
You Got Questions?
We Got Answers!A lot of people are hesitant to spend any type of money for online instruction because they simply aren't sure how effective the curriculum will be once they sign up. The question box feature is how we settle those concerns. It benefits you really in two ways. First, you can ask any questions at any time on any lesson. If you don't understand or need a clarification ask away! Second, the question box feature ensures that you are learning what you want to learn. You can request more material on the styles that you are looking to play and we will make it for you!
My 5 Feature
Start off, where you left off.
The My 5 feature helps you keep what you are learning organized. It is the way that you can take everything you are working on and put it all in on place. Then log in and pick up right where you left off.
Many of our students also use this feature as a checklist. It is easy to get in the classroom and browse and sort of half learn something and then move on to the next video. As students put videos into their My 5, they can focus on learning the material well before removing the video and choosing a different one .Lesson Features
Everything you'll need!
BackTracks — Most every video will come with a backtrack to play along to. Not only can you then play along with the instructor in the video as he plays the song or exercise, but you can click on the backtrack button and play along with the drums and rhythm section. This mean that basically every lesson has a band waiting to play along with the lead guitarist... YOU!
Tablature — Every single video on our site is filmed in HD. This makes seeing what the instructors are playing and teaching pretty easy. However, we know that it does help to have the guitar part written out for you. So we give you the written guitar tablature of every guitar part of every lesson!
Lesson Notes — Along with the explanations the instructors give in the videos, we also make it a point to include written notes about the guitar parts they teach. Our students often find hints and tips written there that help them to master the lessons. -
